Matthew Nichols has more than six years of experience as a project controls professional with experience in construction claim analysis, critical path method (CPM) scheduling, and risk management.


Matthew has analyzed contractor, subcontractor, and owner claims for delay, acceleration, and productivity.


He has created, managed, and analyzed schedules, costs, and earned value on federal projects ranging in value from $1 million to $300 million.

Selected Project Experience
  • Analyzed correspondence and performed a contemporaneous schedule analysis, and then developed a request for equitable adjustment and time extension for two 6-MGD water treatment plants.


  • Analyzed the rates of material production and installation equipment, and performed a contemporaneous schedule analysis in response to a subcontractor claim for a 6.5-mile water tunnel.


  • Performed a contemporaneous schedule analysis in response to an electrical subcontractor claim for a 50 MGD water treatment plant.


  • Analyzed standby supervision and equipment in response to a contractor claim for a sewer rehabilitation.


  • Analyzed correspondence and performed a contemporaneous schedule analysis, and then developed a request for equitable adjustment and time extension for a 30-ton-per-day waste-to-energy project.


  • Designed the scheduling architecture for the capital planning system replacement for a natural gas exploration and production company.


  • Created and maintained the schedule for a pipeline booster pump station.


  • Rebaselined and maintained the schedule for a 150 MGD waste water treatment plant.


  • Maintained the Primavera P6 schedule for a nuclear decontamination and decommissioning project.


  • Streamlined the procurement tracking process for an experimental nuclear fusion reactor megaproject in France.
